No records of Vietnamese citizens affected by natural disasters in China

Senior Vietnamese leaders sent telegrams of condolences and sympathy after the serious natural disaster in China.

At the regular press conference of the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the afternoon of July 9, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang said that upon receiving information about the recent heavy rain, floods, tornadoes, and landslides that have occurred and caused great damage to people and property in some localities of China, on July 8, General Secretary and President To Lam and Politburo member, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung sent condolences to General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping and Chinese Premier Li Qiang.

Also on July 8, Politburo member, Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung sent a message of condolences to the Chairman of the Office of the Central Committee for Foreign Affairs, Minister of Foreign Affairs of China Wang Yi, and previously also sent a message of condolences to Secretary of the Guangxi Zhuang County Party Committee Chen Gang.

Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang also sent to the government and people of China, especially the people of Guangxi, deep condolences for the difficulties and damage caused by natural disasters.

Regarding the natural disaster situation in China, the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs continuously updates information. According to the latest information from Vietnamese representative agencies in China, so far no cases of Vietnamese citizens affected in recent natural disasters in this country have been recorded.

Vietnamese representative agencies in China are continuing to closely monitor the situation and closely coordinate with functional agencies of the Chinese side to be ready for necessary and timely protection measures in case Vietnamese citizens encounter difficulties.

Citizens, if they have any problems, can call the citizen protection hotline of the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as the citizen protection hotline of Vietnamese representative agencies in China.
