On February 28, Cao Bang Provincial Police coordinated with the Department of Transport to organize a conference to hand over and receive state management functions and tasks of testing and granting road motor vehicle driving licenses from the Department of Transport to the Provincial Police.
At the conference, the two sides officially approved the minutes of handover of functions and tasks. Accordingly, from March 1, 2025, the Provincial Police will deploy state management of testing and issuing road motor vehicle driving licenses.
To ensure the Traffic Police force effectively performs this task and grasps the legal regulations, decrees, and circulars of the Minister of Public Security, the Provincial Police previously organized professional training in driving tests and driving licenses for Traffic Police officers and soldiers in the province. At the same time, the unit also worked directly with the professional departments of the Department of Transport to receive the task smoothly.
On the same day, Cao Bang Provincial Police also received the task of state management of drug addiction treatment and post-rehabilitation management from the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs of Cao Bang Province.
According to the handover, from March 1, 2025, Cao Bang Provincial Police will take over all facilities, functions and tasks of the Drug Rehabilitation Center. The reception includes records and documents related to drug rehabilitation and post-drug management; facilities, assets, equipment, means... to ensure full legal documents.
The Provincial Police are responsible for preserving related records and documents; receiving and organizing drug rehabilitation for those subject to compulsory drug rehabilitation facilities according to the provisions of the Law on Handling of Administrative Violations and the Law on Drug Prevention and Control.
In addition, the unit will also provide voluntary drug rehabilitation services, conduct drug testing in the body and determine the addiction status according to regulations.
