On Sunday, March 15, 2026, voters nationwide will participate in the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council (HĐND) deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
According to the National Election Council, based on the summary minutes of the elections nationwide, the election results and the list of National Assembly deputies will be announced no later than March 25, 2026.
The Election Commission in provinces and cities, based on the summary minutes of the election, announces the election results and the list of winning delegates of the Provincial People's Council no later than March 25, 2026.
The Election Committee in communes, wards, and special zones shall, based on the summary minutes of the election, announce the election results and the list of winning delegates of the Commune People's Council no later than March 25, 2026.
Complaints about the election results of National Assembly deputies must be sent to the National Election Council no later than 3 days from the date of announcement of the election results of National Assembly deputies.
Complaints about the election results of People's Council deputies must be sent to the Election Commission no later than 3 days from the date of announcement of the election results of People's Council deputies.
The National Election Council is responsible for considering and resolving complaints about the election results of National Assembly deputies within 7 days from the date of receiving the complaint.

Notably, at the Conference of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly Party Committee with the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee held on the afternoon of March 9, Politburo Member, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man said that according to the plan, the election results will be announced on March 23.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man also said that after the election results are announced, competent agencies will meet to consider and decide on personnel work.
Therefore, as soon as there is a conclusion from competent authorities on personnel, relevant agencies must urgently complete the dossier to promptly submit it to the National Assembly.
Previously, the National Election Council announced Resolution No. 151 on the list of 864 candidates for the 16th National Assembly in 182 constituencies nationwide.
Based on this list, voters nationwide will vote to elect 500 National Assembly deputies of the 16th term out of 864 candidates named in the official list.
According to the structure, the total number of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term is 500 people. Of which, the number of National Assembly deputies in central agencies is 217 people (43.4%), and the number of National Assembly deputies in localities is 283 people (56.6%).
