On the afternoon of March 25, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, General Secretary To Lam, Head of the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity chaired a meeting of the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee.
Also attending the meeting were Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu and members who are Standing members of the Steering Committee.
According to the Central Internal Affairs Commission - the standing agency of the Steering Committee, since the 27th Session, prosecution agencies nationwide have prosecuted and investigated 1,132 cases/2,188 defendants, prosecuted 1,201 cases/2,373 defendants, and tried 756 cases/1,672 defendants at first instance for corruption, economic crimes, and positions.
The Central Inspection Committees, Party committees, and inspection committees at all levels have completed the inspection and strictly handled the violation of Party organizations, cadres, and Party members related to cases and incidents occurring at AIC Company, Phuc Son Group, and Thuan An according to the conclusion of the Steering Committee.
Through inspection, 381 party organizations and 819 party members have been handled and recommended for disciplinary action; of which 57 cadres are under the management of the Central Government. From the beginning of 2025 to now, the Politburo, the Secretariat, and the Central Inspection Committee have disciplined 4 officials under the management of the Central Government.
Investigation agencies of the Ministry of Public Security and the Public Security of localities have prosecuted and investigated a number of waste cases under the motto " handling one case, warning the whole region, the whole field".
Cases such as: The case of "Receiving bribes; Violating bidding regulations causing serious consequences" occurred at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Hoang Dan Company Limited and related units; The case of "Violating regulations on management and use of state assets causing loss and waste" occurred at Vietnam Cement Corporation (VICEM) and related units...
Do not let the situation of "running around" or "group interests" happen
Regarding the tasks in the coming time, the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee emphasized the need to promote the prevention and control of corruption, waste and negativity in conjunction with the completion of the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus and administrative units at all levels of the political system; determined not to let corruption, waste and negativity occur.
Party committees and leaders at all levels must lead and direct closely, strengthen inspection and supervision, absolutely do not let "running around", "group interests", corruption, waste, or negativity occur in personnel work and in the arrangement and use of headquarters and public assets of agencies, units, and localities when implementing the arrangement of the apparatus and administrative units; rectify the mentality of waiting, delaying work resolution, causing congestion, wasting time, effort, and money of the State, people, and businesses.
The Government Party Committee directs the urgent completion of a general review of public assets of agencies, units and localities nationwide to have a plan for management, arrangement and use after streamlining the apparatus and administrative units at all levels, ensuring efficiency, correct purpose, no loss, waste, corruption or negativity.
Complete the handling in 2025 for public real estate facilities that are not in use, are used inefficiently or are used for the wrong purpose.
The Standing Committee of the Steering Committee also requested to focus on inspecting, examining, investigating, and thoroughly handling corruption, waste, and negativity cases and incidents related to personnel of Party congresses at all levels and the 14th National Party Congress.

Strive to complete the investigation, prosecution and trial of 21 cases by the end of 2025, and complete the verification and handling of 5 cases according to the Plan of the Steering Committee.
