On March 9, the Government Office announced that the Government had just issued a Resolution to the regular Government meeting in February 2025.
In the resolution, the Government requested ministries, agencies and localities, according to their assigned functions, tasks and powers, to urgently complete the general review of works, projects and "suspended" planning causing waste.
There are solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles, put works and projects into operation soon, not to let resources stagnate, lose, or waste, especially in the fields of land, environment, resources, minerals, management and use of finance and public assets, and report to competent authorities in the first quarter of 2025.
Agencies and units that do not report or are late in submitting reports will propose to handle officials according to Party regulations and State laws.
Strengthen the prevention and control of corruption, waste and negativity in conjunction with the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus of the political system and prepare and organize well the Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress.
The Government requires absolutely not to let "run around", "group interests", take advantage of the arrangement, streamlining of the apparatus, streamlining the payroll to commit corruption and negativity.
The Government Inspectorate presides over and coordinates with agencies and localities to thoroughly handle complicated, crowded, and prolonged complaints associated with the responsibility of the head of the agency or unit, to be completed in the first quarter of 2025.
The Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Justice, and the Government Inspectorate, according to their assigned functions, tasks, and powers, coordinate with relevant agencies to focus on removing difficulties and obstacles in the work of appraisal, asset valuation, and recovery of corrupt assets.
Strengthen inspection, examination, supervision, speed up investigation, coordinate the final handling of serious, complicated, and prolonged corruption, waste, and negativity cases and incidents that are of public concern.
The Ministry of Home Affairs shall preside over and coordinate with agencies and localities to urgently develop a Project to continue to streamline and organize the administrative apparatus (provincial, district, and commune levels) to be streamlined, effective, and efficient, and submit to the Government Party Committee to ensure quality and progress to promptly report to the Politburo in accordance with the requirements in Conclusion No. 127-KL/TW of the Politburo.
The Ministry of Home Affairs shall preside over the synthesis of opinions from ministries, agencies and localities on the proposed contents of decentralization and delegation of authority to report to the Government and the Prime Minister upon request.
The Ministry of Finance shall preside over and coordinate with agencies and localities to review and report on the overall assessment of the situation and results of administrative procedure reduction and business conditions; continue to propose plans for reduction and simplification in the coming time.
Ministries, agencies and localities, according to their assigned functions, tasks and powers, synchronously implement the Decrees regulating functions, tasks and powers according to the new organizational structure, ensuring smooth and effective operations.
Review, develop, promulgate according to authority or submit to competent authorities to issue legal documents to amend, supplement, and abolish legal documents that stipulate administrative procedures that need to be adjusted due to receiving new functions, tasks, and powers.
Prepare necessary conditions to ensure the implementation of local government arrangement work according to the direction of competent authorities.
