On September 15, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong chaired a meeting with the Senior Member, General Secretary of the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians' Union, Former Chairman of the Senate Budget Committee, Former Minister in charge of Japan's Science and Technology Policy Tsuruho Yosuke and the working delegation to visit and work in Da Nang. At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong introduced an overview of the socio-economic development situation. At the same time, he emphasized that Da Nang City is allowed to establish a Free Trade Zone and an International Financial Center with specific mechanisms, which will create a new breakthrough for Da Nang.
Da Nang City has signed a memorandum of understanding, establishing friendly relations and official cooperation with 6 Japanese localities. In particular, the Vietnam - Japan Festival was recently held in Da Nang City with many important and meaningful activities, contributing to strengthening the Da Nang - Japan cooperation relationship.
Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City Tran Chi Cuong hopes that in his role as Senior Member, General Secretary of the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians' Alliance (a bridge of friendship, organizing a gathering of Japanese Parliamentarians who are sympathetic and interested in the relationship with Vietnam), Mr. Tsuruho Yosuke will continue to pay attention to promoting the development of good cooperation and friendship between Da Nang City and Japanese partners.
Along with that, introduce and call on Japanese partners and enterprises to pay attention to developing cooperation with Da Nang in the fields of: Free Trade Zone, International Financial Center, enhancing human resource exchange, information technology training, and cyber security.
