On the morning of September 10, the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee held a regular meeting in August 2025, listening to and giving opinions on the preparation for the 20th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030. Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung chaired.
Reporting on the preparation for the Congress, Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee Pham Trong Hoang said that the Editorial Team had received opinions from the Politburo and the Central Party Office, coordinating with relevant units to adjust and supplement a number of key targets and contents in the 2025-2030 term. The draft Political Report has been edited to be below 40 pages, adding indicators on GRDP per capita, export turnover, administrative reform, and updating new orientations on education and health.
The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee agreed on the theme of the Congress: "Building a clean and strong Party Committee and political system; comprehensive innovation, breakthrough development, striving to turn Nghe An into a fairly good province, with extremely high growth at the national level in the new era of development". The Congress motto is: "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development".
The draft Political Report identifies 39 targets, including 5 groups on Party building and the political system, 10 groups on economy - science - technology, 17 cultural - social targets, 5 environmental targets and 2 national defense - security targets.
The 20th Nghe An Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, is expected to be held from October 1-3, 2025 at the Provincial Labor Culture House (Thanh Vinh Ward).
Concluding the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung requested the Editorial Team to continue reviewing and supplementing the content associated with Resolution 71-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in education development and upcoming resolutions on the health sector. The Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee also gave opinions on the plan to decorate the ceremony inside and outside the hall to report to the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee in the coming time.
