On September 9, in Truong Ha commune, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cao Bang province held a ceremony to attach a signboard for the project to renovate and upgrade the Truong Ha - Thong Nong road, welcoming the 20th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030.
According to the design, the route is more than 30km long, with a scale of grade V in mountainous areas, with a total investment of 400 billion VND from the central and local budgets, invested by the Cao Bang Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board.
The project started in April 2022, and was completed and put into use in August 2025. The road connects from Ho Chi Minh road (Truong Ha commune) to Provincial Road 204 (Thom Nong commune).
Speaking at the ceremony, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee Vu Hong Quang emphasized that the project not only shortens travel time, promotes trade, improves people's lives but also opens up opportunities for tourism development, connects historical sites, and contributes to maintaining border security.
On this occasion, the province presented gifts to the construction unit, supervision consultants and people who contributed to site clearance and project completion.
