On the morning of September 30, Nghe An Provincial Party Committee held a press conference to inform about the 20th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.
Mr. Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial People's Council chaired, and Mr. Ngoc Kim Nam - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department co-chaired. Attending were leaders of departments, branches, and representatives of central and local press agencies.

According to the plan, the Congress will take place from October 1 to 3, 2025, with the participation of 500 official delegates, representing more than 200,000 party members in the entire Party Committee. The Congress will elect 68/69 members of the Provincial Party Committee, thereby electing 17 members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee. Notably, there is one Ward Party Secretary in the Standing Committee.
The theme of this Congress is: "Building a clean and strong Party Committee and political system; comprehensive innovation, breakthrough development, striving to turn Nghe An into a fairly good and extremely developed province at the national level in the new era of development". The Congress will focus on discussing and resolving the goal of making Nghe An a national growth zone by 2030, and a comprehensive, modern, and high-income development by 2045.
Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Hoang Nghia Hieu emphasized: Implementing the direction of the Central Government and sharing the natural disaster situation in the area, the Congress will be organized in a concise manner, without any cultural programs to celebrate, without giving gifts to delegates (only giving "Nghe An" books), limiting the reception of congratulatory flowers.
The Standing Deputy Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee affirmed: The 20th Congress will be a turning point to reshape development thinking, consolidate the political foundation, and arouse the aspiration to rise up in the whole society.
He also expressed his hope that press agencies will continue to propagate promptly and objectively, clearly reflecting the new and breakthrough points of the Congress; at the same time, fight and refute false information, contributing to strengthening trust and creating social consensus in implementing the Resolution.
