Dong Thap Electronic Information Portal reported that on June 18, Working Group No. 2 of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, led by Comrade Phan Van Thang - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - had a working session with the Standing Committee of Lai Vung District Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Tan Duong Commune (new), merged from Hoa Thanh Commune, Tan Duong Commune and Tan Phu Dong Commune, Sa Dec City on the trial operation and organization of activities of the new commune-level government.
According to the report, the district has issued notified documents and has a specific plan to assign relevant sectors and units to develop a scenario for pilot operation of the model and organize new commune-level government activities, implement the resolution of hypothetical situations arising before, during and after the operation of the new commune-level local government; the work of receiving and handing over documents, assets and facilities is also being completed.

With 4 new communes after the merger, the locality has completed the arrangement of agencies, offices and personnel; is piloting the model of the new commune-level Public Administration Service Center.
The Standing Committee of Lai Vung District Party Committee and the Tan Duong Commune Party Committee have proposed to increase the organization of specialized professional training classes in the direction of practice and practical operation to meet the requirements of tasks according to the new model.
After checking the situation and listening to the reports of the units, Mr. Thang acknowledged the opinions and recommendations of the locality.

Mr. Thang suggested that the locality take advantage of the opportunity to completely resolve the documents before completing the district-level model; establish groups to receive documents in the old communes to guide and create favorable conditions for people when coming to do administrative procedures.
Along with that, localities need to have a detailed operational scenario for the political system and government, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations when implementing the new model, ensuring smooth operation, no congestion, no interruption in implementing administrative procedures for people and businesses.
