On the morning of August 14, the 11th Congress of the Military Region 7 Party Committee, term 2025-2030, officially opened at the Military Region 7 Hall. The Congress was attended by General Trinh Van Quyet - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army.
On the Ho Chi Minh City side, the Congress was attended by Central Party Committee member, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc. There were 288 official delegates representing more than 8,800 party members in the entire Party Committee of Military Region 7 attending the Congress.
With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Dynamism - Creativity - Development", the 11th Party Congress is expected to open a new development stage for the Party Committee and armed forces of Military Region 7 in the 2025-2030 term.
Speaking at the opening of the congress, Major General Tran Vinh Ngoc, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of Military Region 7, emphasized: "The 11th Military Region Party Congress, term 2025-2030, is a special political activity, continuing to affirm the political will, the will to self-reliance, solidarity and determination to win, and the continuous growth of the Military Region armed forces".
Major General Tran Vinh Ngoc emphasized that the success of the Congress is a very important premise for the Party Committee and the Armed Forces of Military Region 7 to successfully complete the task of protecting the Fatherland in the coming time, contributing to the success of the 12th Army Party Congress and the 14th National Congress of the Party. At the same time, it is also an outstanding achievement to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on September 2, celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Armed Forces of Military Region 7.
At the congress, delegates focused on implementing 4 key contents including: Assessing the results of implementing the Resolution of the Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term, determining the direction for the 2025-2030 term; Contributing opinions on draft documents; Electing the Executive Committee of the Military Region Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term; Electing the delegation to attend the 12th Army Party Congress.
Previously, the preparation for the congress was strictly, seriously and comprehensively directed by the Party Committee and Command of Military Region 7. The affiliated Party Committees have successfully organized Party congresses and Party cells at their level, ensuring compliance with the procedures, regulations of the Central Committee and the instructions of the General Department of Politics.
