Solidarity community, always looking towards homeland and country
According to VNA, during a state visit to the Russian Federation at the invitation of President Vladimir Putin, in the evening of September 7 (local time), in Moscow, General Secretary and President To Lam and his wife, along with a high-level Vietnamese delegation, met with officials and staff of the Embassy and the Vietnamese community in the Russian Federation.
At the meeting, Vietnamese Ambassador to the Russian Federation Dang Minh Khoi said that the Vietnamese community in the Russian Federation today is a united community, always looking towards the homeland and country.
Ambassador Dang Minh Khoi said that cooperation between the two countries is still constantly strengthened and consolidated. Many large symbolic cooperation projects have been signed. This visit to Russia by the General Secretary and President will create strong momentum to promote cooperation between the two countries in all fields.
Reporting on the situation of the Vietnamese community in the Russian Federation, Mr. Do Xuan Hoang, Chairman of the Vietnamese Association in the Russian Federation, expressed his honor when the people welcomed General Secretary and President To Lam and his wife, along with the high-level delegation of Vietnam; affirming that this is a precious opportunity for people far from the Fatherland to express their feelings, beliefs and deep attachment to the Party, State and homeland.
Promoting all-round development to become a high-income country
Speaking at the meeting, General Secretary and President To Lam highly appreciated the Embassy and representative agencies for successfully completing their mission as representatives of the State of Vietnam in the Russian Federation, and also as a bridge for Vietnamese people and communities to gather and connect.
Informing people about the domestic situation, General Secretary and President To Lam said that Vietnam is setting high development goals with double-digit or higher growth targets, promoting all aspects of development to become a high-income country, people's lives are constantly improved and are increasingly of higher quality.
General Secretary and President affirmed that the Party and State always pay attention to caring for and better protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the Vietnamese community abroad, as well as creating conditions for Vietnamese people abroad to become increasingly attached to their homeland.
In particular, recently, the Politburo issued Resolution No. 23-NQ/TW on the work of Vietnamese people abroad, concretizing the major policies of the 14th Party Congress and marking a new step in the Party's thinking, identifying Vietnamese people abroad not only as an inseparable part of the Vietnamese ethnic community, but also as one of the important strategic resources, contributing to enhancing the overall strength of the nation.
In that spirit, General Secretary and President To Lam called on our compatriots abroad to strongly respond to the spirit of Resolution No. 23-NQ/TW, to proactively participate more deeply in the cause of building and developing the country and protecting the Fatherland from an early and distant time.
General Secretary and President To Lam wished that Vietnamese scientists, experts, and intellectuals in Russia continue to promote the spirit of creativity, bravery and responsibility, Vietnamese entrepreneurs in Russia continue to be the nuclei promoting economic, trade, and investment cooperation; connecting businesses of the two countries; the young generation always nurtures the aspiration to rise up, constantly learn, master new knowledge, and confidently integrate with the world.
The General Secretary and President requested Vietnamese representative agencies in the Russian Federation to continue to innovate thinking, improve research quality, and make more efforts to implement the agreements of senior leaders of the two countries; continue to pay attention to and support the activities of people and association organizations, and do better in citizen protection work.
