On June 30, at the large hall of the Binh Dinh Provincial Convention Center, a ceremony was held to announce resolutions and decisions of the Central and local governments on merging administrative units, establishing party organizations, appointing Party committees, People's Councils, People's Committees, and the Fatherland Front of provinces, communes, and wards.
At the ceremony, the Resolution on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units in Gia Lai province in 2025 was announced. Accordingly, after the arrangement, Gia Lai province will have 135 commune-level administrative units (including 110 communes, 25 wards).

Mr. Mai Viet Trung - Head of the Organizing Committee of Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee and Mr. Huynh Quang Thai - Head of the Organizing Committee of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee announced the resolutions and decisions of the two provinces on merging communes and wards.
"The Decisions to appoint the personnel of the Secretaries and Chairmen of the People's Committees of 135 new communes and wards have been announced and sent to localities," said Mr. Mai Viet Trung.
Speaking on receiving the assignment, Ms. Le Thi Vinh Huong - Secretary of the Tuy Phuoc Commune Party Committee - shared that at a special and emotional moment, on behalf of the comrades who were given the decision to take on the new assignment, she expressed her deep gratitude to the Party Executive Committee, the Standing Committee and the leaders of the two provinces of Gia Lai and Binh Dinh for their trust in entrusting her with the important responsibility.

"This is not only an honor but also a great responsibility, and at the same time an opportunity for the new generation of cadres to devote all their efforts and intelligence to serving the country and building the homeland," said Ms. Huong.
According to Ms. Huong, starting tomorrow (July 1), the whole country will officially operate the 2-level local government model, and 135 communes and wards of the new Gia Lai province will also officially come into operation. She affirmed that this is a correct policy of the Party and State, meeting the requirements of national development in the current period.
