According to information from the National Assembly Office, in order to improve work efficiency, this agency has issued Decision No. 76/QD-VPQH dated January 30, 2026 on the List of key tasks for 2026.
Accordingly, 105 tasks have been specifically assigned to departments, agencies, and units according to the principle: "Clear people, clear tasks, clear deadlines, clear responsibilities, clear authority, clear products", closely linked to the responsibility of the head.
Notably, the National Assembly Office has established a mechanism to monitor, urge and control progress completely on the Document Management and Electronic Administration System.
The implementation process always ensures flexibility when regularly reviewing and promptly concretizing the directions of the National Assembly leaders into specific tasks for assignment and continuous monitoring.
The report for the first 6 months of 2026 shows very positive results. Departments, agencies, and units have implemented a total of 272 tasks according to the annual work program and arising tasks.
Thanks to increased urging, coordination and close coordination, over 95% of tasks have been completed, ensuring progress and quality, and the remaining tasks are basically being implemented on schedule.
In the first half of the year alone, the National Assembly Office received and implemented 95 tasks from 23 notices of conclusions and official letters from National Assembly leaders; promptly advised on handling arising difficulties and obstacles.
Prominent in this period is the successful advice and service of: the First Session, 16th National Assembly; 10 Sessions of the National Assembly Standing Committee; more than 250 domestic and foreign affairs activities of the National Assembly Chairman and Vice Chairmen of the National Assembly, along with election work.
In addition, tasks on science and technology development, innovation, especially building a digital National Assembly, digital data and applying artificial intelligence (AI) in the activities of the National Assembly are implemented synchronously.
Many internal mechanisms and regulations on organizational structure, personnel, finance, and public investment have also been promptly amended to be consistent with new legal regulations.
Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly Office Pham Dinh Toan said that in the last 6 months of 2026, the National Assembly Office identified many key and urgent tasks.
In which, the top priority is to focus on advising and preparing carefully and scientifically for the First Extraordinary Session and sessions of the National Assembly Standing Committee.

In particular, this agency will continue to promote digital transformation, modernize the operation of the National Assembly and the National Assembly Office with a focus on building a Digital National Assembly Architecture.
Along with that, units will focus on building the state budget estimate for 2027; completing investment procedures for projects in the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2026 - 2030.
In addition, the evaluation of digital transformation results in the Party Committee and the development of a plan to implement Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo for 2027 will also be urgently completed to thoroughly prevent and combat corruption, wastefulness and negativity.
