Accordingly, the Supreme People's Court (SPP) announced last week the List of collectives and individuals in the SPP with a dossier proposing State-level awards in 2025 - awarding the Third Class Labor Medal.
The list includes Mr. Nguyen Huu Chinh - former Chief Justice of the Hanoi People's Court. Mr. Nguyen Huu Chinh was born in 1963 in Cam Giang (Hai Duong), has worked in the court industry for more than 30 years, 20 years as a leader, and 10 years as Chief Justice of the Hanoi People's Court.
Mr. Chinh is also a National Assembly delegate, member of the National Assembly's Judicial Committee. He will cease to hold the position of Party Committee Secretary and Chief Justice of the Hanoi People's Court at the end of 2024.
During his working career, Mr. Nguyen Huu Chinh participated in the trial of famous cases such as Cu Huy Ha Vu in 2011; Nguyen Duc Kien ("Ba" Kien) case in 2014; the kidnapping of a 7-year-old boy demanding 15 billion VND in ransom in 2023.
In addition, during Mr. Chinh's tenure as Chief Justice of the Hanoi People's Court, this unit ranked first in the country in the number of annual trial cases with a series of "big cases" such as the OceanBank; Viet A cases; "Rescue flights"...
In addition to Mr. Nguyen Huu Chinh, 5 others were proposed to be awarded the Third Class Labor Medal in 2025, including: Mr. Dang Van Thuy - Deputy Chief Justice of Ha Nam Provincial People's Court; Mr. Nguyen Anh - Chief Justice of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Court; Mr. Nguyen Van My - former Deputy Chief Justice of Dong Thap Provincial People's Court; Mr. Pham Duc Tuyen - Chief Justice of Hai Phong City People's Court and Mr. Pham Van Phich - Deputy Chief Justice of Hai Phong City People's Court.
Also in the week, on May 7, the Supreme People's Procuracy (SPP) also organized a consultation on the proposal to award the "Third Class Labor Medal" to the Hanoi People's Procuracy, due to its outstanding achievements in resolving cases related to security, social order and economy, corruption, and especially serious positions monitored and directed by the Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption and Negative Affairs.
The above proposal is based on Clause 2, Article 46 of Decree No. 98/ND-CP dated December 31, 2023 of the Government detailing the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on Emulation and Commendation.
The comments should be sent to the Supreme People's Procuracy from May 7-20, 2025.
