In the atmosphere of the whole country excitedly celebrating the Party and the New Year of At Ty 2025, on the morning of January 20, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, the Politburo and the Secretariat held a meeting with leaders and former leaders of the Party, the State, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and members of the Party Central Committee of all terms to review the glorious tradition of 95 years of building and growing of the Party (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025); to express gratitude and honor Party members who have made many contributions to the Party and the country; to inform about the situation of the country and wish the delegates a Happy New Year on the occasion of the New Year of At Ty 2025, according to VNA.
Attending and speaking at the meeting was General Secretary To Lam. Also attending the meeting were Politburo members: President Luong Cuong; National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man; Standing member of the Secretariat, Head of the Central Inspection Commission Tran Cam Tu.
At the meeting, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, General Secretary To Lam awarded the Gold Star Order to former General Secretary Nong Duc Manh and former Politburo member and former Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung for their great and outstanding contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.
General Secretary To Lam awarded the Ho Chi Minh Medal to former Politburo members: former National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung; former National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan; former Standing member of the Secretariat Le Hong Anh; former Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Quoc Vuong; former Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Tong Thi Phong; former Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan; and General Ngo Xuan Lich - former Minister of National Defense for their great and outstanding contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.
On this occasion, the Party and State also posthumously awarded the Ho Chi Minh Order to General Tran Dai Quang - former Politburo member and former President. On behalf of the Party and State leaders, General Secretary To Lam presented the Ho Chi Minh Order to the representative of General Tran Dai Quang's family.
In order to recognize the great contributions of former Party Central Committee members to the Party's revolutionary cause, at the meeting, President Luong Cuong and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man awarded the 80-year, 65-year, 60-year, 55-year, 50-year, 45-year, and 40-year Party membership badges to 15 comrades.
