On the afternoon of February 26, in Phu Quoc City, Kien Giang Province, the Party Committee and Command of Naval Region 5 held a conference to hand over the responsibilities and tasks of the Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of the Region.
According to the decision of the Minister of National Defense, Rear Admiral Nguyen Huu Thoan - Political Commissar of Naval Region 5 - was transferred and appointed to the position of Political Commissar of the Naval Academy. Colonel Ngo Van Thanh - Political Commissar of the Navy Logistics and Engineering Department - was transferred and appointed to the position of Political Commissar of Naval Region 5.
At the conference, representatives of the Political Department and the Naval Region 5 Command presented the minutes of the handover of duties and responsibilities of the Party Committee Secretary and Political Commissar of the Naval Region 5 between Rear Admiral Nguyen Huu Thoan (the person handing over) and Colonel Ngo Van Thanh (the person receiving the handover), including the following aspects of work: consultation, politics, logistics - techniques and tasks that need to be further resolved.
