This morning (November 4), at the National Assembly House, General Secretary To Lam attended and presented the Politburo's decision on personnel work.
In Decision No. 2,500 dated November 3, 2025, the Politburo decided that Mr. Do Van Chien - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front (FFC) of Central Associations, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front - would cease to participate in the 13th Secretariat, cease to participate in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, cease to hold the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central Associations for the 2020-2025 term.
The Politburo transferred, assigned and appointed Mr. Do Van Chien to join the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and hold the position of Permanent Deputy Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term.
Previously, on November 3, 2025, the Politburo issued Decision No. 2499 to remove Mr. Nguyen Khac Dinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the 15th National Assembly - from holding the position of Permanent Deputy Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee.

Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the Central Executive Committee, General Secretary To Lam congratulated Mr. Do Van Chien on being assigned a new responsibility by the Central and Politburo.
The General Secretary emphasized that the transfer, assignment and appointment of Mr. Do Van Chien to hold the position of Standing Deputy Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term is to implement the Party's policy, preparing well for the successful organization of the 14th National Party Congress.
The General Secretary stated that Mr. Do Van Chien has had a process of participating in the revolution and matured from practical activities, from the grassroots; has a lot of experience in gathering and mobilizing the masses. Mr. Do Van Chien has participated in the Central Executive Committee for many terms, participated in the Politburo, the Secretariat and, together with the Politburo and the Secretariat, participated in leading all aspects of the work of the Party and the country for a long time.
The General Secretary emphasized that the transfer, assignment and appointment of Mr. Do Van Chien to hold the position of Standing Deputy Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee aims to strengthen the leadership of the Party, contributing to making the National Assembly increasingly promote its role and position in the political system of our country, and more effectively implementing the institutionalization of the Party's policies and guidelines.
The General Secretary acknowledged that Mr. Do Van Chien had completed his previous tasks very well, assigning him any task, he had made every effort from the localities to the Central agencies and especially during his time participating in the Politburo, the Secretariat, and the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
The General Secretary hopes that Mr. Do Van Chien, with his new position and position, will continue to unite and unify with the comrades in the National Assembly Party Committee, National Assembly, and National Assembly Standing Committee to lead the National Assembly to complete its tasks, organize the implementation of the Party's guidelines, policies, and the National Assembly's decisions in the coming time.

Speaking at the assignment, Mr. Do Van Chien shared that this is both a great honor and a new responsibility, and he must strive to complete it well.
In his new position, Mr. Do Van Chien affirmed that he will continuously study, cultivate, practice moral qualities, improve working methods, unite, and devote himself to the task of completing all tasks of the agency.
