Mr. Do Van Chien was appointed as the Standing Deputy Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee

Mr. Do Van Chien - Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front was appointed as the Standing Deputy Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee.

On November 4, at the National Assembly House, General Secretary To Lam chaired a conference to present the Politburo's decision on personnel work.

Also attending was Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man.

According to the decision of the Politburo, Mr. Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) ceased to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and ceased to hold the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of the VFF and Central organizations.

The Politburo transferred, assigned and appointed Mr. Do Van Chien to join the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee and hold the position of Permanent Deputy Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee.

Mr. Do Van Chien, born on November 10, 1962; hometown Tuyen Quang province.

During his working career, from May 2006 to 1,2007, he was an alternate member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province;

From February 2007 - April 2009: Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province;

From May 2009 - January 2011: Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province;

From February 2011 - June 2011: Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province;

From June 22, 2011 - August 17, 2011: Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee (waiting for the Politburo to assign work according to Document No. 888/CVVPTW dated June 10, 2011 of the Party Central Committee Office); Delegate of the 13th National Assembly (2011-2016);

From August 18, 2011 - February 15, 2015: Member of the Party Central Committee (11th tenure), Secretary of the Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee 2010-2015); Member of the 13th National Assembly (2011-2016);

From February 15, 2015 - April 2016: Member of the Party Central Committee (11th tenure), Member of the Party Committee, Deputy Minister, Deputy Chairman of the Ethnic Committee; Member of the 13th National Assembly (2011-2016);

From April 2016 - January 2021: Member of the Party Central Committee (12-term), Secretary of the Party Committee, Minister, Chairman of the Ethnic Committee; Member of the 14th National Assembly (2016-2021);

January 30, 2021: At the 13th National Congress of the Party, the Central Executive Committee was re-elected and the Central Executive Committee elected to the Secretariat.

From January 30, 2021 - March 30, 2021: Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Minister, Chairman of the Ethnic Committee; National Assembly Delegate of the 14th tenure (2016-2021);

From March 31, 2021 - April 11, 2021: Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF); National Assembly Delegate of the 14th tenure (2016-2021);

April 12, 2021: The 4th Conference of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term IX, consulted and elected Mr. Do Van Chien - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to join the Committee, the Presidium and hold the position of Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term IX, 2019-2024.

From April 12, 2021 to May 15, 2024: Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; National Assembly delegate of the 14th and 15th terms.

May 16, 2024: At the 9th Central Conference, 13th tenure, the Central Committee elected Mr. Do Van Chien to hold the position of Politburo member of the 13th tenure.

From May 16, 2024 to October 17, 2024: Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Delegation, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, National Assembly Delegate of the 15th tenure.

October 17, 2024: The 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2024-2029, consulted to elect Mr. Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Delegation, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term XV, National Assembly delegate to re-elect as a member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, member of the Presidium and hold the position of Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term X, 2024-2029.
