Politburo Member, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc has just signed Official Dispatch No. 63/CD-TTg dated September 8, 2026 of the Prime Minister to the Minister of Public Security; Chairmen of People's Committees of provinces and cities on overcoming the consequences of particularly serious traffic accidents in Dong Nai City.
The content of the telegram clearly states that, according to information reported by the Traffic Police Department, Ministry of Public Security, at 8:20 am on September 8, a particularly serious traffic accident occurred at Km1962+970 Vo Nguyen Giap road, Phuoc Tan ward, Dong Nai city.
The accident was caused by a car with license plate 29H-890. 95 colliding with a motorbike with license plate 60F2-415. 86, resulting in 3 deaths and 1 injury.
This is the 2nd particularly serious traffic accident in Dong Nai City in just over 1 month.
Immediately upon receiving information about the accident, the Prime Minister sent condolences to the injured and deep condolences to the relatives and family of the deceased; directed the leaders of Dong Nai City People's Committee and the police and medical forces to the scene to overcome the consequences of the accident.
The Prime Minister's telegram also clearly states the requirements:
Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee directs functional agencies and units to immediately arrange all medical conditions and medicines to rescue victims; organize visits, support and encourage victims and families of victims who died in the accident;
Seriously review the situation of implementing the Prime Minister's direction in Official Dispatch No. 51/CD-TTg dated July 21, 2026 related to the traffic accident in the city that killed 7 people and injured many people; Official Dispatch No. 55/CD-TTg dated August 19, 2026 on ensuring traffic order and safety during the National Day holiday September 2nd and the peak month of traffic safety for students going to school.
On that basis, review the responsibilities of relevant collectives and individuals if they are slow to implement the Prime Minister's direction, leading to the above-mentioned accident.
The Ministry of Public Security directs Dong Nai City Police and Police units to urgently investigate the cause of the accident to strictly handle according to the provisions of law for drivers, vehicle owners, and transport business enterprises (if any) in the above-mentioned accident;
Continue to direct the Police of units and localities to strengthen patrols and inspections, prevent and strictly handle violations of carrying more people than prescribed, especially for motorbikes; resolutely prevent the situation of motorbikes carrying 3 or 4 people circulating on the road, causing unsafety for traffic participants...
