The fleet, consisting of the Rezkiy escort, the Aldar Cidengapov escort and the Pechenga medium-range tankers, along with 262 officers and crew members commanded by Colonel Anciferov Alexey Vitalievich, docked at Tien Sa port, starting a friendly visit to Da Nang city lasting until May 14.

During this time, officers and crew of the Russian squadron will participate in many meaningful activities: placing wreaths at the City Martyrs' Monument; communal greetings to the leaders of the City People's Committee, the Naval Region 3 Command and the Military Region 5 Command. The delegation will also visit and interact with officers and soldiers of Naval Region 3, visit Da Nang and participate in joint training.

The visit takes place in the context of Vietnam and Russia aimed at the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations (2025). At the same time, the visit shows the external role of Da Nang, promotes the image of the city and is a bridge for the navy of the two countries to expand cooperation, share experiences, ensure freedom of navigation and security at sea.
