On December 4, the Government Office announced that it had just issued Document No. 11894/VPCP-CN conveying the opinion of Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long - Head of Working Group No. 3 on accelerating the progress of the North-South expressway projects, Chi Thanh - Van Phong section, Van Phong - Nha Trang and component projects 1, 3 of the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot expressway.
The document stated that during the implementation of the projects, the Government, the Prime Minister and ministries, branches and localities have paid great attention and directed the timely removal of many difficulties and obstacles to speed up the implementation progress of projects within the scope of Inspection Team No. 3, however, the construction progress is still slow and has not met the set plan.
To ensure the completion of projects and sections of the route by December 19, 2025, contributing to the completion of 3,000km of expressway as directed by the Government, the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Construction, the People's Committees of Khanh Hoa and Dak Lak provinces and relevant units to make more efforts and determination to complete and bring the projects to the finish line on schedule, without delaying progress.
The Ministry of Construction, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province, and the People's Committee of Dak Lak province direct investors and contractors to proactively have solutions to respond to and overcome unfavorable weather conditions and natural disasters, especially choosing camp locations and accommodation for officers and workers in high-altitude areas, away from rivers and streams, and away from locations at risk of landslides.
Quickly clean up the site, restore the construction site; update new data on weather and hydrology to promptly have solutions to adjust the design to ensure stability and sustainability.
The Ministry of Construction resolutely directs investors and contractors to mobilize maximum financial resources, supplement machinery, equipment and human resources to soon reorganize construction; organize "3 shifts, 4 teams", rolling the road surface foundation items, traffic safety system to ensure the completion of the Chi Thanh - Van Phong Component Project on December 19, 2025 as planned.
Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee continues to urge and direct investors and contractors to speed up the progress of asphalt concrete pavement and traffic safety system to put the first 20km of the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway Component 1 Project into operation on December 19, 2025, while speeding up the construction progress of the remaining 11.5km to soon complete and put the entire project into operation, promoting investment efficiency.
