On the afternoon of December 25, General Secretary To Lam - Head of the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity - chaired the 29th session of the Steering Committee to discuss and give opinions on the results of activities in 2025 and the 2026 Work Program of the Steering Committee.
Informing about the results of the meeting, Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Dang Van Dung said that General Secretary To Lam assessed that the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity in 2025 will continue to be led and directed resolutely and strongly, according to the motto "no forbidden areas, no exceptions".
Many outstanding results have been clearly stated by the Central Steering Committee and the General Secretary.
In 2026, the first year of implementing the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress, the Central Steering Committee requires effective implementation of tasks and solutions on preventing corruption, waste and negativity.
The general spirit was clearly stated by General Secretary To Lam as must be more drastic, more effective, and more sustainable.

Notably, Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Dang Van Dung said that at the meeting, the Central Steering Committee agreed to include violations related to management, exploitation, processing, and trading of rare earths and bauxite ores according to the conclusion of the Government Inspectorate in the Steering Committee for monitoring and direction.
The General Secretary noted that agencies should strengthen coordination and strictly implement the conclusions of the Steering Committee.
Also at this meeting, the Steering Committee agreed to end the handling direction for 5 cases and 4 cases because the settlement has been completed in accordance with the provisions of law.
Responding to the press regarding the violation of management and trading of rare earths and bauxite ores, Major General Nguyen Quoc Toan - Chief of Office, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Public Security - said that this case is under investigation.
Mr. Toan affirmed that when there is information, "we will inform the press agencies as soon as possible".
