On April 2, the Yen Bai Provincial Electronic Information Portal reported that the Provincial People's Committee has just held a conference to review and evaluate the state budget revenue targets for the first 3 months of 2025, deploy tasks for the second quarter and the last 9 months of 2025.
In the first 3 months of 2025, total budget revenue in the area is estimated to be higher than the 3-month and similar-term scenario, in which 12/16 revenue items increased compared to the same period and scenario, creating a premise for completing the budget collection scenario for March and the second quarter of 2025.
In the first quarter of 2025, Yen Bai province's economic growth reached 107.1% compared to the growth scenario of 8.2% and reached 100.89% compared to the double-digit growth scenario of 10.5%.
With a breakthrough growth rate, the growth rate of gross regional domestic product (GRDP) of Yen Bai province ranks 5th/14 provinces in the Northern Midlands and Mountainous regions, ranking 12th out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide.
Contributing to this remarkable growth rate can be mentioned that the industrial production index in the whole industry in March 2025 is estimated to increase by 20.83% compared to the previous month, up 17.84% over the same period. It is estimated that the industrial production index in the first 3 months of 2025 will increase by 11.89% over the same period.
Some main products also achieved and exceeded the growth target for the first quarter of 2025, such as: Construction stone mining, estimated at 250,000m3, up 28.2% compared to the scenario; cement is estimated at 470,000 tons, up 4.4% compared to the scenario; electricity production is estimated at 290 million kWh, equal to 100% compared to the scenario...
The province also strengthens coordination and supports to speed up the progress of 110kV and 220kV power grid projects to put them into operation soon, meeting the increasing electricity demand of industrial parks and residential areas.
Regarding industrial infrastructure, the province is focusing on supporting investors to speed up the implementation of projects in Tran Yen Industrial Park and Phu Thinh 1, Phu Thinh 2, Yen Hop industrial clusters.
In particular, the province is carrying out procedures to establish new industrial clusters of An Thinh and Bao Hung 2, Tran Yen district, to expand industrial development space and attract more potential investors.
Currently, there are more than 3,450 enterprises operating in the province. Recently, the Provincial People's Committee has directed the Department of Science and Technology to coordinate with relevant units to organize training and guidance classes to disseminate and transform awareness of the digital economy and digital transformation in enterprises and cooperatives in the area.
The province has supported 10 enterprises to deploy the application of artificial intelligence (AI) tools to business and marketing activities under the pilot program to deploy the "AIpopulation" model in the province.
The Provincial People's Committee also develops and promulgates mechanisms and policies to support businesses in digital transformation according to the motto "supporting businesses to develop together, towards digital businesses".

At the conference on April 1, Chairman of Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Anh suggested that sectors and localities need to focus on reviewing budget collection targets and proposing solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles in budget collection in the area. Urgently stabilize the organizational apparatus after the arrangement to effectively carry out assigned tasks.
Strengthen investment calling and attraction; increase dialogue, answer problems and recommendations to proactively remove difficulties for businesses, especially in administrative procedures, taxes, investment and business environment, land, site clearance, access to capital, and product consumption.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Yen Bai province also requested a review of all revenue sources in the area, focusing on the work of inspection and exploitation of revenue from taxes, fees and charges.
Meanwhile, Director of the Department of Science and Technology Le Tri Ha said that to accompany businesses in digital transformation, the department has proposed many supporting solutions for businesses to access and apply digital technology solutions.
Thereby, improving capacity, production and business efficiency and competitive advantages, creating new values for businesses in the digital economy, so that businesses can promptly grasp new technologies, proactively invest in technology improvement and apply new business models and methods.
