On February 19, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province held the 4th conference, term VII, 2024 - 2029, to negotiate and appoint additional members of the Committee and appoint the Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, term VII, 2024 - 2029.
The delegates agreed to appoint Ms. Vo Ngoc Thanh Truc (born in 1981, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee) to join the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, term VII, 2024 - 2029; replace Mr. Bui Chi Thanh, who was transferred and appointed by the Provincial Party Committee to hold the position of Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee.
On the same day, the People's Council of Phu My Town, term V, 2021 - 2026, held the 21st Session (special session) to give opinions on personnel work. The delegates voted to dismiss Mr. Nguyen Van Tham from the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu My Town, term VI, 2021 - 2026.
Previously, Mr. Nguyen Van Tham had submitted a resignation letter and was approved by the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee to take a leave of absence from work as desired.
The session also carried out the voting process to elect a new Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu My Town. With a vote of 30/30 in favor 100%), Mr. Nguyen Tan Cuong (born in 1981, Deputy Secretary of Phu My Town Party Committee) was elected to hold the position of Chairman of Phu My Town People's Committee, term VI, 2021 - 2026.
