According to the proposal of the City People's Committee Party Committee, the project to build Cat Bi Victory Monument Park at Cat Bi International Airport (Hai An Ward) has a total estimated investment of more than 119.6 billion VND from the city budget.
The project uses about 2.68 hectares of land to build park infrastructure, including premises, squares, trees, lawns, toilets, roads, sidewalks, parking lots, lighting and water supply and drainage systems. The highlight of the project is the 14.4 m high bronze monument, placed on a 9.9 m diameter round pillar of reinforced concrete, with a 4.5 m high stone relief.
The Cat Bi Victory Monument is identified as a unique and impressive sculpture work, instead of introducing the dynamic, internationally integrated and sustainably developed port city for visitors right when they set foot in Hai Phong. At the same time, the park also contributes to increasing value, creating historical and cultural highlights in the urban space of Hai Phong.
After listening to the reports and opinions of the delegates, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee agreed on the project investment policy, assigned the Party Committee of the City People's Committee to direct the implementation to ensure compliance with approved plans, and effectively use capital sources according to regulations.
