The Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Finance to urgently complete the plan for arranging, equitizing and divesting state-owned enterprises.

According to the Government Authority of Information and Communications, on the afternoon of September 3, at the Government Headquarters, Politburo Member, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung chaired the regular Government meeting in August 2026 to discuss and give opinions on many important contents, identify key tasks and solutions for the coming time.

Concluding, the Prime Minister requested ministries, agencies, and localities to regularly review and update growth scenarios monthly and quarterly; proactively identify bottlenecks affecting growth targets to focus on removing them, and be highly determined to achieve the set goals.

Persistently aim to control inflation, proactively manage prices of essential goods and services; strengthen price and market management, strictly handle acts of profiteering and unreasonable price increases.

Continue to effectively implement policies on exemption, reduction, and extension of taxes, fees, and charges to support people and businesses; review the VAT refund process for export goods in the direction of strengthening risk classification, accelerating the processing of dossiers of businesses that well comply with the law, reducing time costs; strengthen measures to combat transfer pricing.

The State Bank of Vietnam continues to manage monetary policy proactively and flexibly; focusing credit on priority sectors, key projects, and strictly controlling credit for potentially risky sectors.

Regularly assess the "balance point" between inflation control and growth support requirements, determine warning thresholds; proactively use tools under their authority to maximize policy effectiveness, maintain liquidity stability, and strive to reduce lending interest rates.

Flexibly manage deposits of the State Treasury at the State Bank and commercial banks to increase liquidity for the economy; direct credit institutions to strengthen cooperation with investment funds and financial institutions to diversify capital sources for businesses.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade shall preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies, localities, associations, businesses... to clearly analyze the groups of exported goods that have decreased, and the groups of goods with large trade deficits to have solutions to promote exports and control trade deficits.

Closely monitor gasoline and oil prices and energy types; ensure stable energy supply, supply enough electricity for production, business and living; urgently complete plans for gasoline and oil distribution systems; completely remove difficulties and obstacles, soon restore the operation of biofuel production plants, and accelerate the progress of key power and oil and gas projects.

Regarding socio-cultural fields, the Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Education and Training to preside over and coordinate with ministries, agencies, and localities to organize well the opening ceremony of the new school year and the inauguration of inter-level boarding general schools in land border communes phase 1; guide the implementation of vocational education institutions and higher education institutions.

Immediately review the supply and ensure textbooks, especially in difficult areas; focus on building inter-level boarding schools in land border communes, starting phase 2 according to schedule.

The Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Health shall preside over and coordinate with ministries, agencies, and localities to thoroughly grasp and implement the conclusions of the General Secretary and President at the working session with the Government Party Committee and agencies on the implementation of social security policies and support for vulnerable people.

The Ministry of Health continues to effectively implement periodic health check-ups or free screening for people; preside over and coordinate with ministries, branches, agencies, and localities to implement tasks to strengthen food safety assurance in educational institutions; urgently submit a project to complete the pharmaceutical and medical equipment distribution system.
