On the afternoon of April 9, at the Government Headquarters, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a ceremony to commend the Vietnam People's Army (VPA) and the Vietnam People's Public Security (VPA) forces to support Myanmar in overcoming the consequences of the earthquake and completing the mission of returning home.

The deployment of rescue forces and support to overcome the consequences of earthquakes in Myanmar immediately after 24 hours shows the progress, capacity, and responsibility of our country in the face of non-traditional security issues, which are highly appreciated by the international community.

Reporting at the ceremony, Major General Pham Van Ty - Deputy Director of the Department of Rescue, General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Head of the Rescue Team of the Ministry of National Defense - reported the results of overcoming Vietnam's earthquake consequences in Myanmar.

Major General Pham Van Ty said that the working group of the Vietnam People's Army deployed a surprise mission in a very short time, having to prepare many relief goods, equipment, and specialized supplies to be able to complete the task well.

In Naypyidaw, the Rescue Team of the Vietnam People's Army was assigned to search for missing people in 3 areas: Bala Tidi Apartment Complex, Ottara Thiri Hospital and Aye Chan Thar Hotel. The team promptly used professional dogs and specialized equipment, rada through the wall, rada to search for images and discovered 32 locations with victims, and directly organized searches at 20 locations, handing over 12 locations to Myanmar.

As a result, 21 bodies were discovered and brought back; coordinated with the Turkish rescue team to save the life of a 26-year-old man and handed him over to the victim's family in the respect of local people and Myanmar rescue forces.

Following the direction of the Head of the Ministry of National Defense, the delegation conducted humanitarian activities for local people, handing over 50 tons of dry food, 3,026 tents, more than 20 tons of equipment, explosives, food, food, medicine and other equipment and items to Myanmar.
