On December 6, Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tan Tuan chaired a meeting on reorganizing administrative agencies and public service units.
The meeting took place this afternoon with the participation of the Chairman, Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee; Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board.
In addition, the meeting also had representatives of the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies; members of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of the Department of Transport, the Management Board of Van Phong Economic Zone; the Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, the Provincial Agricultural and Rural Development Construction Investment Project Management Board, and the Provincial Development Project Management Board.
On the state-owned enterprise side, there were leaders of Khanh Viet Corporation, Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest One Member Co., Ltd.; Khanh Hoa Lottery One Member Co., Ltd. attending.
According to the direction of the Central Steering Committee on summarizing the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW, after the arrangement and merger, the Government's apparatus will be reduced by 5 ministries and 4 agencies under the Government. Thus, the Government's apparatus will be streamlined from 30 to 21 focal points (reduced by 9 focal points), including: 13 ministries, 4 ministerial-level agencies and 4 agencies under the Government.
Some localities such as Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City have plans to merge agencies and departments. In particular, Ho Chi Minh City announced a plan to merge agencies, reducing 8 departments of Ho Chi Minh City.
Ho Chi Minh City has researched and proposed to rearrange agencies in the direction of "where the central government has a ministry, the city has a corresponding department-level agency". The locality plans to reduce 8 departments and 5 administrative agencies after streamlining.
