Chairman of Ninh Kieu District People's Committee Huynh Trung Tru has just signed Notice No. 699/TB-UBND announcing the newly established administrative unit of Thoi Binh ward and its operating time.
According to the announcement, implementing Plan No. 236/KH-UBND dated November 1, 2024 of the People's Committee of Can Tho City on the implementation of Resolution No. 1192/NQ-UBTVQH15 of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units in the period 2023 - 2025 of Can Tho City, the People's Committee of Ninh Kieu District announced and notified organizations and individuals that the newly established Thoi Binh ward administrative unit will officially come into operation from November 19, 2024.
The headquarters of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thoi Binh Ward (new) is located at 52/1, Hung Vuong Street, Thoi Binh Ward, Ninh Kieu District, Can Tho City.
According to the announcement of Ninh Kieu District People's Committee, from November 19, 2024, all administrative transactions related to the 3 (old) wards: An Cu, An Nghiep and An Phu, organizations and individuals are requested to contact the reception and result delivery department of Thoi Binh Ward People's Committee at the above address.
Previously, the National Assembly Standing Committee issued Resolution No. 1192/NQ-UBTVQH15 on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units of Can Tho City in the period of 2023-2025. Accordingly, the entire natural area of 0.50 km2, population of 10,851 people of An Phu ward; the entire natural area of 0.35 km2, population of 7,635 people of An Nghiep ward and the entire natural area of 0.61 km2, population of 23,313 people of An Cu ward were merged into Thoi Binh ward.
After the merger, Thoi Binh ward (new) has a natural area of 1.99km2 and a population of 56,364 people.
After the reorganization, Ninh Kieu district has 8 wards. The whole Can Tho city has 9 district-level administrative units, including 5 districts and 4 towns; 80 commune-level administrative units, including 36 communes, 39 wards and 5 towns.
