Bringing Resolution No. 57 into life, to each agency, each locality
On the afternoon of July 1, in Hanoi, the Central Steering Committee for Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation (Steering Committee) held a national conference to summarize 1 year and 6 months of implementing Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation.
Speaking to direct the Conference, General Secretary and President To Lam stated clearly that the Conference is connected online to ministries, branches, localities and communes nationwide. This shows our great determination to bring Resolution No. 57 into life, to each agency, each locality, each grassroots unit and each enterprise.

According to the General Secretary and President, through the speeches, a very important understanding can be agreed upon: Resolution No. 57 is correct, accurate, timely and strategically significant for the new development stage of the country.
It can be affirmed that after 18 months of implementation, Resolution No. 57 has created positive changes in the awareness of the political system.
Institutions, mechanisms, and policies have been gradually completed; many bottlenecks have been removed; many new mechanisms have been formed, creating favorable conditions for the development of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation have been gradually formed.
National digital transformation has many results, digital infrastructure continues to be invested, bandwidth networks are covered on a wide scale, over 91% of the population has been covered. Agencies have connected and effectively exploited shared digital platforms.
The National Public Service Portal continues to be expanded, integrating thousands of online public services, contributing to improving the efficiency of serving people and businesses.
National databases are gradually being completed. The VNeID application has had over 74 million electronic identification accounts activated, gradually shifting from identification applications to platforms providing essential utilities and services to serve people.
Many fields have effectively implemented digital transformation such as trade, banking, tax, customs, transportation, healthcare... Thereby helping to reduce a lot of time, costs, paperwork and administrative procedures for people and businesses.
Many good models, creative ways of doing things
Also according to the General Secretary and President, in the field of science and technology and innovation, we have identified strategic technologies and a list of strategic technology products prioritized for development.
Research institutes, universities, and scientists at home and abroad have actively implemented basic research and applied research; many research results have initially been transformed into products serving practice.
Some Vietnamese businesses have gradually mastered technology, developed many products to put on the market, including products that reach regional and world levels.
E-commerce, cashless payments, artificial intelligence applications and digital transformation continue to develop, bringing practical economic and social efficiency.
The General Secretary and President clearly stated that it is very encouraging that there have been many good models, many creative ways of doing things. Many localities have found ways to go that suit them in very specific tasks.
Hanoi has a common Hanoiwork platform serving up to the commune level. Ca Mau has introduced biotechnology into automation in shrimp farming. Vinh Long brings drones to the fields. Dong Thap uses digital data to monitor pests and diseases, saving costs for farmers. Ninh Binh, Tuyen Quang use AI to manage heritage and develop tourism. Quang Tri masters biotechnology processes to create OCOP products...
These examples show that Resolution No. 57 is gradually entering every corner of life. Science and technology are not far away but right in shrimp, rice plants, rice grains, OCOP products, tourism services, administrative processes, data platforms, manufacturing enterprises, schools, hospitals, commune-level authorities. The issue is to turn bright spots into widespread areas; turn models into movements; turn initiatives into development capacity of the entire economy, the whole country, and society" - General Secretary and President To Lam emphasized.
