On the morning of May 19, in Hanoi, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son chaired the first meeting of the Prime Minister's Working Group on the peak period of fighting, preventing and repelling smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son highly appreciated the ministries, branches, localities and functional forces in the past time for their many efforts in the fight against smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods and infringement of intellectual property rights.
However, the situation is still complicated, widespread, with many subjects, affecting the health and trust of the people, causing confusion and anxiety in public opinion.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the fight against smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and intellectual property infringement is a very important, long-term task that needs to be carried out regularly, comprehensively, and continuously.
During this peak period, the Deputy Prime Minister requested that on May 20, ministries and branches must complete and issue detailed action plans to implement the peak period to fight against and repel smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods in their sectors and fields, ensuring focus and key points.
At the same time, establish a working group of your ministries and branches to monitor and urge the implementation of the above plans.
Ministries and branches focus on reviewing the system of legal documents to promptly amend or propose competent authorities to amend and supplement them to prevent subjects taking advantage of legal loopholes in the production of counterfeit and poor quality goods.
Ministries, branches and localities must conduct inspections as soon as people report the situation of trading, production and consumption of counterfeit goods and poor quality goods; strictly handle violations.
The members of the Working Group must directly grasp the situation, directly inspect and urge the implementation of the tasks of their ministries and branches.
Localities closely and actively coordinate with members of the Working Group during the peak period; not because of the merger of administrative units, but loosely fight against trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and counterfeit goods.
The Deputy Prime Minister also requested press agencies to focus on propaganda to raise people's awareness, mobilize people's participation in the fight against trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and counterfeit goods; strictly manage product advertising content.
The working group was established under Decision 950/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister, with Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son - Head of the National Steering Committee 389 as the Head of the Working Group.
The Standing Office of the National Steering Committee 389 is the standing agency of the Working Group.
