On September 24, the Government Office announced that Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh had just signed Decision No. 2123/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister to complete the members of the Central Inter-sectoral Steering Committee on organizing the execution of judgments and recovering assets misappropriated and lost in cases related to Van Thinh Phat Group.
According to the decision, the members of the Central Interdisciplinary Steering Committee on organizing the execution of judgments and recovering assets that have been misappropriated and lost in cases related to Van Thinh Phat Group (abbreviated as Steering Committee 742) are as follows:
1. Mr. Nguyen Van Tho - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee (replacing Mr. Duong Ngoc Hai - former Permanent Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and Mr. Nguyen Cong Vinh - former Vice Chairman of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial People's Committee).
2. Mr. Le Trong Yen - Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee (replacing Mr. Tran Hong Thai - former Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee).
3. Mr. Le Van Anh - Vice Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee (replacing Mr. Nghiem Xuan Cuong - former Vice Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee).
4. Mr. Huynh Van Son - Vice Chairman of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee is a member of the Steering Committee.
This decision takes effect from September 23.
Previously, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Decision No. 742/QD-TTg dated April 9, 2025 to establish a Central Inter-sectoral Steering Committee on organizing the execution of judgments and recovering assets misappropriated and lost in cases related to Van Thinh Phat Group.
The Steering Committee is an inter-sectoral coordination organization, assisting the Prime Minister in researching, directing, and coordinating the resolution of important, inter-sectoral tasks on organizing the execution of judgments and recovering misappropriated and lost assets in cases related to Van Thinh Phat Group.
The Steering Committee is responsible for researching, consulting, recommending, and proposing directions and solutions to resolve important, interdisciplinary issues on organizing enforcement of judgments and recovering misappropriated and lost assets in cases related to Van Thinh Phat Group.
Direct and coordinate between ministries, ministerial-level agencies, government agencies and relevant agencies and organizations in resolving important, inter-sectoral issues in the execution of judgments.
The Ministry of Justice is the standing agency of the Steering Committee, using the existing apparatus to assist the Steering Committee in performing its tasks.
