Emphasizing a number of key tasks in February 2025, General Phan Van Giang requested: Agencies and units must strictly maintain combat readiness, grasp and accurately forecast the situation, promptly advise and effectively handle military and defense situations, and absolutely not be passive or surprised.
At the same time, ensure timely communication and information security to serve the activities of Party and State leaders and commanders and leaders in the Army; carefully prepare content and organize the Conference of the Ministry of National Defense's leaders working with agencies and units at the beginning of the Spring of At Ty to ensure closeness and quality.
Agencies and units strictly implement Resolution No. 8 of the 13th Central Committee on the Strategy for National Defense in the new situation; military and defense projects and tasks in the Working Program of the Politburo, the Secretariat, the Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission and the Working Program of the Government and the Prime Minister in 2025; and Military and Defense Work Orders in 2025.
Agencies and units shall strengthen control and prevent illegal entry and exit at borders, seas and islands; resolutely prevent illegal, unreported and unregulated seafood exploitation.
At the same time, direct the organization of military transfer in 2025 closely and solemnly, ensuring safety targets and quality; complete training preparation and training, foster cadres at all levels, and guide extracurricular training for new soldiers.
Party committees and organizations at all levels must do a good job of preparing for Party congresses at all levels; closely organize grassroots congresses in the Party Committee of Military Region 3 and the Party Committee of the Navy; continue to perfect and ensure the quality of the draft documents of the 12th Army Party Congress; propose to perfect Party committees, Party organizations, and organize the staffing of political agencies and political cadres of units in conjunction with the roadmap for adjusting the organization of the Army force.
Agencies and units strictly implement the 2025 defense foreign affairs program and plan; promote international cooperation in UN peacekeeping, overcoming the consequences of war, and handling dioxin, bombs, and mines.
According to the report, during the Lunar New Year 2025, the entire army strictly maintained combat readiness, tightly managed airspace, sea, border, inland, and cyberspace; promptly advised and effectively handled military and defense situations, avoiding passive surprises; coordinated to maintain political security and social order and safety nationwide so that people could enjoy a peaceful and happy Spring Festival.
At the same time, deploy combat plans, ensure timely communication and information security to serve the direction of Party and State leaders and the entire army commander; direct and firmly grasp the political security situation on the border lines.
