On May 26, the People's Committee of Kon Tum province requested districts and cities to urgently survey and fully prepare facilities and infrastructure for the one-stop department.
The one-stop department is the place most regularly exposed to people and businesses, carrying out administrative procedures related to construction, business, policies, taxes, land, etc.
Therefore, to serve the people carefully in the spirit and policy of the two-level local government, Kon Tum requests consideration and planning to arrange the working headquarters of the one-stop-shop department at the commune level (new) to ensure a convenient location, easy access and suitable area to serve the people.
In particular, it is necessary to calculate the expected number of administrative procedure records and transactions arising in the past year (2024) of the merged units; the number of administrative procedure records transferred from the district-level government.
Districts and cities must also report the current status of working equipment of the one-stop department of the merged communes, wards and towns, and plan to arrange for the one-stop department at the (new) commune level to use.
The careful preparation of the one-stop department of the new communes is to avoid interruption and impact. When put into operation, after being dissolved at the district level, the commune-level administrative apparatus will operate uniformly and stably.
After merging Quang Ngai and Kon Tum provinces, the new province will be called Quang Ngai province. The administrative unit of Quang Ngai province (new) has an area of 14,832.548 km2, population of 2,161,755 people with 96 administrative units at the commune level.
