On the morning of November 22, Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front inspected the work of preventing and combating natural disasters, landslides and flooding in Lam Dong province.
At the meeting, Mr. Ho Van Muoi, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, said that by the morning of November 22, the whole province had 4 deaths, 1 missing person and 1 injured person; more than 3,000 houses were flooded and landslides, over 100 houses were completely damaged by floods.

According to incomplete statistics, the authorities and functional forces in the area have evacuated 1,137 households to safe places. About 1,640 hectares of crops, mainly vegetables, were damaged, over 1,000 livestock died. The locality is continuing to review and count to fully summarize the damage to housing and agricultural production.
Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Bui Thi Minh Hoai praised and highly appreciated the proactive response to floods in Lam Dong province. Thereby, minimizing damage caused by floods. At the same time, Lam Dong province was requested to continue mobilizing forces to support people affected by floods.

In addition, floods have also caused more than 30 large landslides and dozens of small-scale landslides, mainly concentrated on key traffic routes.
In addition, many roads were flooded, affecting traffic. In which, many important roads were eroded such as Prenn Pass and Mimosa Pass, causing traffic disruption.
According to preliminary estimates, the damage caused by floods to Lam Dong province to date is more than 1,000 billion VND.

Lam Dong province proposed that the Central Government consider and support the locality with about 600 billion VND to overcome the consequences of natural disasters. Of which, 200 billion VND will be spent to overcome the consequences of housing, agricultural production and 400 billion VND will be spent to repair and overcome vulnerable infrastructure such as embankments to prevent landslides on rivers and streams, clear flood drainage, repair damage to bridges and roads, etc.
In addition, Lam Dong province also proposed to support 1,000 tons of rice to promptly stabilize people's lives.
According to Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Bui Thi Minh Hoai, after the flood, the current environmental problem is very serious, especially in areas affected by flash floods and deep flooding for many days.
Therefore, Lam Dong province needs to quickly mobilize forces to urgently spray disinfectants, pay attention to their lives, and not let people go hungry or cold, especially the disadvantaged in society.

In particular, Lam Dong province needs to have financial and credit support policies for people to restore production due to the agricultural characteristics of Lam Dong province, which produce high technology and large investment, so the damage is also very large. At the same time, he emphasized that Lam Dong province should review and propose the Central Government's support for what is most necessary.
Previously, Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Bui Thi Minh Hoai also inspected the actual flood situation in Ka Do commune. Here, Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai visited, encouraged and presented support to local households that suffered heavy damage due to floods.
On this occasion, Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Bui Thi Minh Hoai also presented Lam Dong province with 20 billion VND in support to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
