"After this flood, local people need a lot of time to restore production. Many gardens are eroded or have garbage, so farmers will have to spend many months improving the soil," added the leader of D'ran commune.

Meanwhile, in Hiep Thanh commune, the authorities recorded hundreds of hectares of vegetables and flowers damaged by floods in late October and early November. To meet market demand, when the water receded, the people of this commune immediately started to improve the land and produce.

Mr. Vo Tien Huy, Director of Tien Huy Cooperative, in Hiep Thanh commune, said that the cooperative cooperates with people to produce many types of vegetables and tubers on an area of nearly 40 hectares.

Floods in recent days have damaged many gardens, leading to a 30% reduction in output supplied to the market. Currently, for flooded land, cooperative members are renovating to soon restore production.

According to the Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection of Lam Dong province, in 2025, the locality plans to plant 92,000 hectares of vegetables and has so far planted 90.572 hectares, with an output of about 2.6 million tons.

Green vegetables continue to increase in price

Mr. Ha Ngoc Chien, Head of the Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection of Lam Dong province, informed that the remaining harvest area of the locality is more than 9,000 hectares, with an estimated output of over 300,000 tons.

During the recent flood, we initially recorded 3,000 hectares of damaged vegetables, with an estimated output of about 90,000 tons. This partly affects the market supply at this time, not affecting the market before, during and after Tet because the Tet vegetables are planted in late November and early December".
