Regarding the annual work results of the Steering Committee, in 2024, despite facing many difficulties, with the efforts and determination of the entire political system; the close and drastic leadership and direction with many new policies and viewpoints of General Secretary To Lam - Head of the Steering Committee; the efforts and attempts of the members of the Steering Committee and functional agencies, the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity (PCTNLPTC) continued to be strongly implemented, achieving many important results, with new breakthroughs, more drastic and effective both at the central and local levels.
In particular, the work of building and perfecting the socio-economic management institution and anti-corruption work continues to be promoted, especially focusing on removing institutional "bottlenecks" and "knots" to unblock resources, serve socio-economic development and improve the effectiveness of anti-corruption work.
The Politburo and the Secretariat have issued over 40 directives, resolutions, regulations and conclusions on Party building, the political system and anti-corruption. The work of detecting and handling corruption and negativity is focused on strong, drastic and synchronous direction; violations are resolutely and strictly handled, but also very humanely, focusing on differentiation in handling violators, protecting cadres who dare to think and dare to do, for the common good.
In 2024, Party committees and inspection committees at all levels disciplined 709 Party organizations and 24,097 Party members for violations. The Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat, and the Central Inspection Committee disciplined 68 officials under the Central Committee's management.
