On September 4, informing reporters of Lao Dong Newspaper, a representative of the Department of Home Affairs of Lang Son province said that up to now, the whole province has implemented the policy of streamlining the payroll according to Decree 178/2025/ND-CP for more than 2,500 cases.
Of this total, 1,353 cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers subject to staff streamlining have decided to retire. All of these people have retired, quit their jobs and have been paid according to regulations.
1,197 part-time workers at the commune level (including union officials, part-time commune police...) have also decided to quit their jobs. However, the regime has not been paid to this group of subjects.
In the group of non-professional workers in villages and residential groups, up to the time of reporting, no cases have occurred.
The total amount of money spent to implement the staff streamlining policy in the province reached more than 1,250 billion VND.
Lang Son Department of Home Affairs said it will continue to coordinate with departments, branches and localities to review, guide and ensure the implementation of regimes and policies for subjects in accordance with regulations, publicity and transparency. At the same time, the province will pay attention to arranging and assigning personnel appropriately to ensure the operation of agencies and units after streamlining.
Previously, after the arrangement of administrative units, Lang Son province had 65 commune-level administrative units, including 61 communes and 4 wards.
