On February 24, Ca Mau province held a conference to announce decisions on the arrangement of the apparatus and personnel work.
The conference also approved the Resolution of the Provincial People's Council on the establishment of specialized agencies under the Provincial People's Committee, including: Department of Construction on the basis of merging the Department of Transport and Department of Construction; Department of Agriculture and Environment on the basis of merging the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and Department of Agriculture and Rural Development; Department of Science and Technology on the basis of merging the Department of Information and Communications and Department of Science and Technology; Department of Finance on the basis of merging the Department of Planning and Investment and Department of Finance; Department of Home Affairs on the basis of merging the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs and Department of Home Affairs; Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religious Affairs on the basis of transferring the functions and tasks of religious work of the Department of Ethnic Minorities to the province.
At the conference, the decisions of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on personnel work after the restructuring of the apparatus and the establishment of specialized agencies under the Provincial People's Committee were announced. Accordingly, Mr. Nguyen Duc Thanh was appointed as Director of the Department of Finance, Mr. Du Minh Hung as Director of the Department of Construction, Mr. Tran Van Trung as Director of the Department of Science and Technology, Mr. Pham Chi Hai as Director of the Department of Home Affairs, Ms. Nguyen Thu Tu as Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Thanh as Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Department of Agriculture and Environment, including Deputy Directors: Nguyen Van Quan, Chau Cong Bang, Phan Minh Tri, Huynh Thanh Dung, Bui Tu Hai.
At the conference, the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee announced the Decisions to appoint the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, and the Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the Provincial Party Committee of the Provincial Party Agencies and the Provincial People's Committee's Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
Speaking at the conference, Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Ho Hai emphasized: The arrangement and streamlining of the organizational apparatus is a historic milestone, opening a new page in the organization of leadership and governance of the province.
The Secretary of Ca Mau suggested that units continue to strictly implement Conclusion No. 121-KL/TW of the Party Central Committee on the implementation of Resolution 18-NQ/TW; direct the review and completion of the organizational structure, build functions, tasks, and working relationships of each agency and unit associated with reducing internal units and streamlining the payroll in accordance with the set roadmap. Focus on political and ideological work, implement well policies and regimes so that each organization and individual can correctly determine their role and responsibility, towards the common goal of building a streamlined, compact, strong, efficient, effective and efficient apparatus to serve the country's development in the new era. Put the new apparatus into operation in the spirit of organizing the new apparatus to operate more effectively, without interruption of work affecting the activities of people and businesses.
Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province Pham Thanh Ngai acknowledged and commended the spirit of comrades holding leadership positions who volunteered to create favorable conditions for the work of restructuring the apparatus; at the same time, expressed their joy and excitement at the solidarity and unity of organizations and individuals so that the work of restructuring and reorganizing the provincial apparatus can be carried out on schedule according to the requirements of the Central Government. To carry out the tasks in the coming time, each individual and unit is required to continue working without interruption in serving the people, trying to overcome initial difficulties, and better perform the assigned tasks.
