On the morning of August 16, at Ho Chi Minh Square (Truong Vinh Ward), thousands of cadres, union members, youth and people of Nghe An province participated in the program "Marching with Vietnam" in a solemn atmosphere.
The event was organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper in coordination with the Ministry of Public Security, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025), National Day September 2 (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025) and the Traditional Day of the People's Public Security (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025).
Attending the program were comrades: Nguyen Duc Trung - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Le Hong Vinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation.
Also attending were leaders of the Provincial People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; representatives of departments, branches, sectors, agencies, and provincial-level units; cadres, teachers, union members, and youth of high schools and universities in the area.
Before the flag-raising ceremony, the provincial leaders and the Organizing Committee offered flowers and incense at the Uncle Ho Monument, expressing their respect and infinite gratitude for the contributions of President Ho Chi Minh - Hero of National Liberation, Outstanding Cultural Celebrity.
At exactly 6am, thousands of people wearing red shirts with yellow stars, all turned to the historic Ba Dinh Square, singing the National Anthem in a solemn and sacred atmosphere.
Next, leaders of Nghe An province and a large number of cadres and people walked on Truong Thi Street, responding to the message "1 billion steps into the new era".
The "Marching Along with Vietnam" program took place simultaneously in 34 provinces and cities with the participation of about 150,000 - 200,000 people, spreading patriotism, solidarity and national aspiration. Walking activities in Nghe An not only contribute to creating a new momentum, but also affirm the determination of the entire Party and people to move forward for a strong Vietnam.
