Vietnamese leaders send congratulatory message on the 249th anniversary of the National Day

Senior leaders of the Party and State of Vietnam reaffirmed that Vietnam consistently considers the US as one of the partners of strategic importance.

On the occasion of the 249th anniversary of the United States National Day (July 4, 1776 - July 4, 2025) and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the US (July 12, 1995 - July 12, 2025), on July 4, 2025, General Secretary To Lam; Politburo member, President Luong Cuong and Politburo member, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent congratulatory messages to US President Donald Trump.

On this occasion, Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man also sent a congratulatory message to Mr. James David Vance - President of the Senate and Mr. Mike Johnson - President of the US House of Representatives.

In congratulatory messages, senior leaders of the Party and State of Vietnam reaffirmed that Vietnam consistently considers the US as one of the partners of strategic importance, welcoming the US to support a "strong, independent, self-reliant and prosperous" Vietnam.

Looking back on the 30-year journey since the official establishment of diplomatic relations, especially after the two countries upgraded their relations to Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, senior Vietnamese leaders expressed their delight at the positive progress in cooperation between the two countries in all fields, both bilaterally, regionally and internationally, and emphasized that Vietnam is ready to work with the US to continue to develop the Vietnam - US Comprehensive Strategic Partnership increasingly effectively and substantially, bringing practical benefits to the people of the two countries, contributing to peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.

On this occasion, Central Party Committee member, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son sent a congratulatory message to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
