On the occasion of the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2026), the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party sent a congratulatory message to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
The content of the congratulatory telegram reads:
The Spring Great Victory completely liberated the South, unified Vietnam on April 30, 1975. This is a momentous event, a glorious historical milestone of the Communist Party of Vietnam and is recorded in world history. The Spring Great Victory of 1975 was not only a victory of the Vietnamese army and people but also a victory of the solidarity and combat alliance of the people of the three Indochinese countries Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia, creating favorable conditions for the Lao revolution to win victory and establish the Lao People's Democratic Republic on December 2, 1975.
We warmly congratulate the great, comprehensive, and historically significant achievements that the Communist Party of Vietnam and the fraternal Vietnamese people have achieved in the past time, especially after 40 years of renovation, Vietnam's position and role are increasingly enhanced in the region and in the world. We firmly believe that, under the wise and talented leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam led by General Secretary and President To Lam, the fraternal Vietnamese people will successfully implement the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress, creating a solid foundation for Vietnam to develop strongly, enter a new era and complete the two 100-year strategic goals of the country”.
On this occasion, Member of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Foreign Affairs Department of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Bounleua Phandanouvong sent a congratulatory letter to Member of the Politburo, Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung.
