On September 12, in New Delhi (India), on the occasion of attending the 18th BRICS Summit, Politburo Member, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung received Politburo Member, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, according to VNA.
Prime Minister Le Minh Hung affirmed that Vietnam always values the special friendship with Cuba, pays attention to the situation in Cuba, shares the difficulties and challenges that Cuba is facing and is ready to do its best in its ability to support Cuba.
The two sides highly appreciated the special friendship, solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, the two States and the people of the two countries, which continues to be consolidated and actively developed in many fields.
To continue to bring Vietnam - Cuba relations into depth, substance and effectiveness, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung proposed that the two sides maintain regular delegation exchanges at all levels, especially between senior leaders of the two Parties and States; improve the effectiveness of bilateral cooperation mechanisms; coordinate to find solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles, create favorable conditions for the operation of Vietnamese businesses in Cuba and improve the effectiveness of cooperation projects.
Prime Minister Le Minh Hung affirmed that the Vietnamese Government is ready to create favorable conditions for Cuban cooperation projects in Vietnam in the pharmaceutical sector. The two sides agreed to continue to promote the tradition of coordination and mutual support at multilateral forums.
Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla affirmed that Cuba highly values the special friendship with Vietnam, considering Vietnam as a successful model in the renovation, construction and development of the country in a socialist direction; believing that Vietnam will continue to achieve even greater achievements. The Minister emphasized that the relationship between the two Parties is a solid political foundation, playing a role in orienting bilateral relations.
Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla affirmed that Cuba wishes to continue to closely coordinate with Vietnam to effectively implement key cooperation projects, especially in the fields of food production, solar energy and pharmaceuticals; and requested the two sides to continue to find solutions to remove obstacles to ensure the operation of Vietnamese projects and businesses in Cuba.
