On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day (February 27,55 - February 27, 2025), February 26 in Hanoi, Central Party Committee member, Vice President of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh visited and congratulated cadres, doctors, and medical staff at Hanoi Oncology Hospital and the Central Institute of Epidemiology.
Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh said that the health sector in general and the oncology sector in particular have achieved many important achievements.
In particular, there are great contributions from Hanoi Oncology Hospital in prevention, early detection, diagnosis and treatment of cancer, access and master of many advanced techniques in the world, contributing significantly to improving the quality of treatment and reducing the mortality rate from cancer in Vietnam.
The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly said that there is still much work to be done to further improve the capacity of the health system, especially in the field of cancer prevention and control.
This leader emphasized that the National Assembly and the Government will continue to study and pay special attention to perfecting the legal system on health, having appropriate mechanisms and policies to support the health sector in improving the capacity to examine and treat diseases.

The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly suggested that the Hospital continue to strive to apply advanced technologies in cancer treatment, promote scientific research, and international cooperation so that people across the country can access the most modern treatment methods.
On the same day, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh came to congratulate the staff, doctors, and medical staff at the Central Institute of Epidemiology.
Here, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly affirmed that the National Assembly and the Government will continue to study and pay special attention, perfect the system of policies and laws on health, preventive medicine, public health, and effectively implement the motto "biological health is the pillar of the health sector".
The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly suggested that it is necessary to promote propaganda and support people to raise awareness and responsibility for active and proactive prevention, reducing risk factors affecting public health.
Strengthen research, application of science and technology and digital transformation. Focus on training in the fields of epidemiology, microbiology, immunology, public health and public health for lower-level subjects.
