In Binh Thoi ward, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Thanh Nghi was present early to inspect the preparation work and directly supervise the testing activities.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nghi highly appreciated the initiative and seriousness of the locality in implementing the new model.
In Saigon ward, cadres and civil servants were also present from early morning to start the first working day according to the 2-level government model.
Ms. Ngo Hai Yen - Head of the Department of Internal Affairs of District 1, expected to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Saigon Ward - said that the ward has prepared carefully after professional training sessions and site visits in Tan Binh District.
"The staff deployed at the Public Administration Center are all people who have worked at the one-stop department of the ward or district, so getting acquainted with the testing software system is quite favorable," said Ms. Yen.
District 1 has also handled all backlog of records before the transfer time, and handed over the unresolved records to the ward for continued handling on schedule.
Saigon Ward will pilot operations in 5 areas: document processing, culture - society, justice - civil status, administrative procedures and land use - construction.
In Tan Son Nhat ward, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Danh - Secretary of the Party Committee of Ward 6, expected to be Vice Chairman of the new Ward People's Committee - said that the cadres and civil servants had entered the first test yesterday.
"The trial will help the team grasp the process and professional operations, and be ready to handle administrative procedures for people when it officially operates from July 1" - Mr. Danh shared.
Mr. Danh also assessed that the first day of trial operation went very smoothly, thanks to careful preparation and active support in infrastructure and expertise from the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Center.
