Citizens performing the obligation to participate in the People's Public Security Forces will enjoy regimes and policies according to the provisions of the Law on Military Service in 2015, Decree No. 27/2016/ND-CP dated April 6, 2016 of the Government stipulating a number of regimes and policies for non-commissioned officers and soldiers serving in the army, demobilized and relatives of non-commissioned officers and soldiers in the army and Circular No. 101/2025/TT-BCA dated December 3, 2025 of the Ministry of Public Security stipulating the selection and implementation of regimes and policies for citizens performing the obligation to participate in the People's Public Security Forces.
Accordingly, citizens who perform the obligation to participate in the People's Public Security Forces are guaranteed to be provided promptly, in sufficient quantities, and with the correct quality of food, foodstuffs, military uniforms, and medicines for disease prevention and treatment; are guaranteed accommodation, monthly allowances, necessities and spiritual and cultural needs in accordance with the nature of the Police's tasks; are guaranteed regimes on holidays and Tet; are guaranteed health care when injured, sick, or injured in accordance with the law;
Enjoying rank allowances according to the provisions of Decree No. 204/2004/ND-CP dated December 14, 2004 of the Government on the salary regime for cadres, civil servants, public employees and armed forces and enjoying additional allowances if serving in the army from the 25th month onwards is 250%.
Citizens are also rewarded when they have achievements in their work; are entitled to regimes and incentives in case of injury while on duty according to regulations. In case non-commissioned officers and active soldiers sacrifice or die while on duty, their families are entitled to preferential regimes according to the provisions of law.
Being guaranteed social insurance and health insurance regimes according to the provisions of the Law on Health Insurance and the Law on Social Insurance;
Serving in the army from the 13th month onwards, they are entitled to annual leave, a leave period of 10 days;
Being included in the service time in the army into the working time;
Before enlisting, if they are studying or have a letter of summons to study at schools under vocational education institutions or higher education institutions, their results are preserved and they are admitted to study at those schools;
Relatives are entitled to health insurance benefits and unexpected difficulty allowances according to regulations. Biological children and legal adopted children of soldiers are exempted or reduced tuition fees at public and non-public general education institutions according to regulations;
When demobilized, if they have served in the army in the People's Public Security Forces for 12 months or more, they are entitled to vocational training support policies according to current regulations of the State.
This subject is also entitled to one-time demobilization allowance, job creation allowance, train and bus allowance (general type) and travel allowance from the unit to the place of residence or being see-off and taken to the place of residence by the unit;
In case of ensuring conditions and standards, they can apply to People's Police schools at the university and intermediate level for new recruitment; they are given priority points in enrollment according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training; they are considered for transfer to professional status when their in-service service expires.
