On the afternoon of October 13, a press conference was held in Hanoi to inform about the results of the 1st Government Party Congress, term 2025-2030.
At the press conference, Politburo member, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Government Party Committee, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh shared comprehensively and frankly about a term that he described as "very different and harsh" with many unprecedented difficulties and challenges.
However, under the leadership of the Party, the Government has achieved important, comprehensive and " spectacular" achievements in many fields, which have been recognized by the world and highly appreciated by the people.
"During the extremely severe COVID-19 pandemic, we have protected people's safety. Although Vietnam is not a vaccine producer, we have vaccinated all people for free," said the Permanent Deputy Prime Minister.
Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh clearly stated the success in completing the set targets and tasks beyond the level, from Party building, socio-economic development, national defense and security to strengthening foreign affairs.
The Government leaders also especially emphasized the "revolution in repairing the mountain goose", streamlining the two-level government apparatus, which was highly appreciated by international friends. He said that this is an important preparation for the new era, opening up greater development space and serving the people better.

The Permanent Deputy Prime Minister cited a series of international ranking indexes to demonstrate Vietnam's achievements, affirming that this is "a very objective view of the world".
One of the outstanding achievements mentioned by the Permanent Deputy Prime Minister is macroeconomic stability and explosive growth in the context of a volatile world.
The GDP scale in 2025 is estimated to reach 510 billion USD, bringing Vietnam to 32nd place in the world and 4th in ASEAN. GDP per capita is estimated at over 5,000 USD, officially putting Vietnam in the group of countries with high average incomes.
In addition to the successes, the Permanent Deputy Prime Minister also frankly acknowledged the shortcomings, limitations and challenges that the country is facing. He emphasized that the Government does not avoid but always faces and dares to solve problems that have existed for many years.
He raised pressing issues such as urban flooding, environmental pollution, traffic congestion and salinity, and dykes. The Permanent Deputy Prime Minister said that these are problems that the people have been waiting for and that in the coming term, they must focus on resolving them completely.
"When we have seen the problem, there will be solutions, if we have determination, we will have solutions, and resolve them," the Government leader expressed.
The Permanent Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that the Congress has clearly identified the direction, goals, targets and breakthrough solutions for the coming term. He emphasized the desire to rise strongly with a growth target of over 10% and GDP per capita of 8,000 USD by the end of the next term.
To achieve this goal, the Permanent Deputy Prime Minister said that there needs to be a new thinking and working method, especially in institution building and resource mobilization.
The Permanent Deputy Prime Minister pointed out the importance of building a team of cadres who are "both rosy and specialized", have courage, dare to think, dare to do and dare to take responsibility.
According to the Permanent Deputy Prime Minister, although the Congress was a great success, the real success of the Congress Resolution must be verified after another 5 years. Especially when policies and guidelines are turned into reality in life, into economic growth and a prosperous and happy life for the people.
