On August 13, the 8th Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026, opened its 2nd Session (regular session in mid-2025).
The session will review the reports of the Provincial People's Committee on the socio-economic situation, national defense - security in the first 6 months of the year and tasks for the last 6 months of 2025; results of capital allocation for basic construction investment, budget revenue - expenditure; corruption prevention, crime prevention, complaint and denunciation settlement; activities of the People's Court, People's Procuracy, and the Provincial Civil Judgment Enforcement.
The Provincial People's Council also discussed and approved resolutions on socio-economic development tasks, policies to support cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers after the reorganization; medium-term public investment plans and local budget estimates after the reorganization of administrative units.
The session is an opportunity for the Provincial People's Council to comprehensively evaluate the results of the first 6 months of the year, propose key tasks and solutions for the last 6 months of 2025, meeting the development requirements of the province in the new period.
