On February 27, the Supervisory and Inspection Delegation of the National Assembly Standing Committee and the National Election Council led by Mr. Nguyen Khac Dinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Member of the National Election Council as Head of the delegation had a working session with the Election Steering Committee and the Ninh Binh Provincial Election Committee on the preparation for the election of National Assembly deputies of the XVI term and People's Council deputies at all levels, term 2026 - 2031.
At the working session, after listening to the report on the election preparation work in Ninh Binh province, members of the Supervisory and Inspection Delegation exchanged and clarified a number of recommendations and proposals of Ninh Binh province that need to be implemented in the coming time to successfully organize the election, ensure democracy, legality, safety and truly be a festival for the whole people.
Speaking at the working session, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh acknowledged and highly appreciated the spirit of responsibility, proactiveness, and urgency of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Steering Committee and Election Committees at all levels of Ninh Binh province in the election preparation work.
The steps have been deployed and implemented seriously, in accordance with procedures, clearly showing the leadership role of the Party Committee and government and the close coordination of sectors and mass organizations.
Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh emphasized that this election takes place in a special context, right after the 14th National Party Congress. At the same time, implement many new regulations when operating the two-level local government model. The preparation time is shortened compared to previous terms but still must ensure full and strict steps according to the law.
Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh requested Ninh Binh province to continue to identify this as the number one key political task to focus on comprehensive and effective leadership and direction.
In which, the focus is on leading and directing the strict implementation of steps and stages in election work, ensuring progress and legal regulations. Promptly announce the list of candidates in accordance with regulations. Regularly review and update voter lists, adjust changes (if any), especially paying attention to groups such as: people working far away, tourists, elderly people, people with disabilities, ensuring full citizens' voting rights.
Pay attention to mobilizing a team of experienced officials to carry out election work at the grassroots level. Develop solutions to arising situations; continue to thoroughly grasp and strictly implement the conclusions and directions of the Central Government on election work, ensuring the successful organization of the election, and preventing the situation of re-elections and extra-elections.
National Assembly Vice Chairman Nguyen Khac Dinh also noted that this is the first election to promote digital transformation in a synchronous manner, so Ninh Binh province needs to strengthen training for the Election Teams. Proactively coordinate with central agencies, especially the Ministry of Public Security, to ensure the system operates safely and smoothly.
Promptly report to the National Election Council when problems arise. In addition, Ninh Binh province needs to continue to promote information and widespread propaganda, suitable for each target group such as: religious people, ethnic minorities, students, workers, creating favorable conditions for candidates to exercise their right to campaign for election in accordance with regulations, ensuring fairness and democracy.
At the same time, pay attention to promptly resolving complaints and denunciations (if any), ensuring security, order, and social safety before, during and after the election day. Strengthen supervision and inspection, especially in key and complex areas.
With serious, methodical preparation and experience from previous terms, National Assembly Vice Chairman Nguyen Khac Dinh believes that the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term in Ninh Binh will be successful, selecting typical deputies, worthy of the people's trust and contributing to the overall success of the election nationwide.
